WE DIDN'T REHEARSE NKWA BODOO SONG - KODA

WE DIDN'T REHEARSE NKWA BODOO SONG - KODA

As the saying goes, "music is the food for the soul" but here is the case where music tracks has to pass through lengthy processes before been produced for human consumption.

Gone were the days when musicians spends months on a single song before its production. This is different in our days, because some artist spends one or two, and mostly a week on a single track in the studio and the song is ready to go...

But on the part of Kofi Owusu Dua Anto known in the music industry as "KODA" says his hit track (Nkwa Bodoo) was in a different scenario.

Speaking to Sir Walker on Nkwa 88.1 FM Mid-Morning Show, KODA said, "There was no rehearsal or studio session with my bands men towards the creation of the song "Nkwa Abodoo".

"The first time my bands men heard me sang the song was on that same faithful day on stage when I called Nacce to join me from the crowd as witnessed in the video" he remarked.

We can all attest to the fact that the original version of the song was sang in the early day's churches but Koda said all the individual skills displayed in his version by his bands men from the drummer, guitarist, keyboardist, konkarist and all the other players involved which was directed by his lyrical content were created on same day on stage.

The renowned Gospel musician who sings in the Akan-Fante dialect, continued to revealed that, the song came to him on one memorable Sunday morning, when he was dozen off in the sitting room in his apartment in Takoradi when the song echoed through, from a nearby Pentecost church, and as an artist he decided to create something out of God's word.

BAN ON SIX HERBAL MEDICINES STORY IS FALSE, IGNORE IT - FDA

BAN ON SIX HERBAL MEDICINES STORY IS FALSE, IGNORE IT - FDA.

Public Relations Officer of the Food and Drugs Authority, Mr. James Lartey, has debunked rumours that the authority has revoked the marketing authorization for the sale and distribution of six herbal medicinal products.

Mr. Lartey has urged the public to "ignore" such malicious information because it is not current as purported to be. "Infact it's not a current one. It's an old one but someone is doing that."

Over the weekend, information came about the ban on Rockman Capsules manufactured by RockCare Clinic Limited; Mars for men imported by Joe D. Ventures and Tinatett Be4 Be4 Herbal Capsules manufactured by Tinattet Herbal Manufacturing and Marketing Co. Ltd.

The rest were said to be Angel Natural Capsules, manufactured by Angel Herbal Products Ltd.; Adom Gentleman Power Capsules manufactured by Dependable Pharmacy Ltd.; and Laud P Capsules manufactured by Stephen Gyan Herbal Centre.

But speaking to the Foklex Media Award's 2016/17 Best Morning Show Host in the Central Region, Solomon Addai Mununkum, on Monday morning, the PRO for the FDA confirmed that the statement circulating currently, was actually released in July 2015.

"Please ignore it because they are complaints we have dealt with already. Like you rightly said, it was in 2015. You're very right, so let us ignore it"; Mr. Lartey, who was adjudged the 3rd Best PRO in 2017 by FAKS Investment Services
told the host.

He continued; "some media people called me and wanted me to talk on it but I explained to them that the moment I speak to one station, I have to speak to every station that will call".

"But if you look at the thing, it is not authentic as in the current state of it. It is something we have dealt with already so I've told them that they should just ignore it"; he added.

POLICE SERVICE 'IGNORES' GOVERNMENT; LOOK TO GOD FOR PROTECTION.

The Ghana Police Management Board (POMAB) is to have a prayer session in all Police Churches across the country at 9 am on Sunday 4th February, 2018 for "the safety and divine protection of the leadership and officers of the Service."

The Religious Affairs Directorate (RAD) of the Service which is organising the prayer session has indicated in the invitation letter that the session "has become very necessary and imperative considering the recent spate of adversarial killings of serving officers".

"Much as the Police Administration is putting together resources, expertise knowledge, experiences and the appropriate mechanisms in place to avert future occurrences, it behoves upon us as the Clergy of the Service to beseech divine protection for all serving officers."

The RAD believes with the hand of God on the Service, the recent deaths of officers will reduce if not stopped completely. "We believe and are highly convinced that with divine intervention, the recent death shadow cast on the Police Administration would reduce if not wane out"; the letter noted.

Meanwhile, Director of the Religious Affairs Directorate, ACP Very Rev. Father George Arthur, who signed the letter, also commended the Police Administration for its concern for the welfare of all leadership and officers of the Service during sickness, difficult moments, deaths and bereavement of serving officers.
